All our shared hosting plans come with the following standard features:
24x7 Technical Support
All technical support is handled via our ticketing system, this allows us to keep track of your support requests quickly and easily. Customers may submit tickets via the Client Area of our Support Center.
99.9% Uptime Guarantee
We provide a 99.9% server/network uptime guarantee. This guarantee does not extend to announced server/network maintenance.
Refunds are only provided upon request and will be averaged out to days of downtime suffered. For example, if you pay $9.95/month for your shared hosting account and your website is offline for 2 hours, you will be refunded for 1 day total which is 32 cents.
Free Setup
All our shared hosting accounts are setup free of charge, there are no hidden costs.
Money Back Guarantee
Our Money Back Guarantee is available only during the first 28 days (4 weeks) of service.
If you wish to cancel your account and receive a refund, you must submit your cancellation request before the 29th day of service. This is very important in order to prevent being charged for the next recurring payment under a monthly billing cycle. An additional 5 days will be provided for free to allow time to transfer providers without any downtime.
Customers who take advantage of our free domain name offer and cancel while the money back guarantee is valid will have the cost of the domain name registration ($9.95 USD) subtracted from the refunded amount. This is necessary in order to prevent individuals from ordering an account and then cancelling just to get a free domain name.
Breaking our Terms of Service and/or Acceptable Use Policy will void the Money Back Guarantee.
Control Panel
All our shared hosting accounts come with a control panel to easily manage your account features. Please check our Control Panel Tour webpage for additional information about all the features that are available with our control panel software.
Primary FTP Account
All our shared hosting accounts come with a primary FTP account. Your FTP account login details will be provided to you in your welcome email.
Account Backups
All our shared hosting accounts can be easily backed up from within the control panel.
We also maintain account backups that are seperate from the control panel. These backups are made daily (at midnight), then rotated on a weekly and monthly basis.
IMPORTANT: Shared hosting accounts that exceed 10,000 INODES and/or 1GB of disk space will not have daily/weekly backups maintained by Host Discovery. If your account exceeds these limitations, only a monthly backup will be maintained. Each file and/or directory in your hosting account counts as 1 INODE. Disk space usage can be verified inside the account control panel.
POP3/IMAP/SMTP Support
All our shared hosting accounts have access to POP3, IMAP and SMTP services. We also provide SMTP services on additional ports for users whose ISPs block the standard SMTP port.
Web Mail
All our shared hosting accounts come with Web Mail, this allows you to check and send email from any computer that has Internet access.
Email Forwarders & Auto Responders
You can create email forwarders and auto responders through the control panel. There are no restrictions on how many email forwarders or auto responders that are setup on your account.
MailScanner (SPAM & Virus Protection)
All our shared hosting accounts come with MailScanner, software designed to keep you safe from SPAM, webbugs and email viruses.
DNS Zone Management
All our shared hosting accounts can have their DNS zone information modified at any time. MX entries can be modified through the control panel, all other modifications are done directly through Host Discovery upon request.
Parked Domains
You can park domain names easily through the control panel. There are no restrictions on how many domain names are parked on your account.
URL Redirection
You can create URL redirections easily through the control panel. There are no restrictions on how many redirections you can setup on your account.
Supported Programming Languages and Features
HTML, CSS, SSI, CGI, Perl, PHP, Ruby on Rails, Python, Cron Jobs, GD and Image Magick are just a few of the supported languages and features offered with our shared hosting accounts.
Website Statistics
All our shared hosting accounts come with website statistics. We use Webalizer and Awstats for graphical display of website statistics. MRTG for graphical display of bandwidth statistics. Plus access to raw logs and error logs created by the server.
